Who We Are
The Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI) is a regional organization federating the national chambers of commerce of ECOWAS member states. Its principal mission is to represent and advance the interests of the West African private sector, fostering economic development and regional integration.
FEWACCI was established in 1972 at the initiative of the presidents of the 15 chambers of commerce of the West African region, united by a shared vision to give the business community a unified voice and a tool for development to reduce poverty across the region.
As a partner holding Observer Status at ECOWAS, FEWACCI bridges the private sector and policymakers, driving initiatives that transform the regional economic landscape and strengthen public-private dialogue.
For over four decades, FEWACCI has worked to advance regional economic integration, promote intra-African trade and investment, and strengthen the role of the organized private sector as a key driver of sustainable development, prosperity, and peace in West Africa.
