Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry
Established in 1972 by the presidents of the 15 chambers of commerce of the West African region, FEWACCI serves as the unified voice of the business community. Our mission is to foster economic development, promote trade integration, and reduce poverty across the ECOWAS region.
As a key partner with Observer Status at ECOWAS, we bridge the gap between the private sector and policymakers, driving initiatives that transform the regional economic landscape.

Mission
To serve as a strategic framework for engaging the Private Sector in the promotion and deepening of regional economic integration. In particular the promotion of Trade, cross-border investment and market access.
Key Achievements
The Founding Members promoted and set-up the first West African bank, ECOBANK Transnational, which today has grown to be one of the leading banks in Africa. FEWACCI is currently promoting the West Africa Sealink Company for reliable maritime transport services.
